Royal Dublin
"By any standards, this is as good a traditional links as you will get".
- Christy O'Connor Sr.

Few lrish clubs can boast as illustrious a history as Royal Dublin. The inaugural meeting of the then Dublin Golf Club was held at 19 Grafton Street in 1885. A selection of "gentlemen" interested in the game of "golf" converged with the purpose of playing and promoting the game. Royal Dublin is Ireland's second oldest golf club and as befits a club of its stature, this links has played host to all the leading events the country has to offer. Laid in the old traditional links style, Royal Dublin resembles St Andrews. The sea breezes add that extra hazard.
